This camera records digital video to Standard Digital Mini DV Cassettes, (63 min or 83 min), or Professional DVCAM Cassettes, (shorter in length but higher quality). Although out-dated and overtaken by HD cameras, this camera still retains it's appeal with die-hard collectors. The camera is easy to operate and fun to use. As you can see from the photos, this camera is in exceptionally good condition. It has only been used indoors and in theatres and always on a tripod. Whilst in use and in storage the lens has always been protected by a UV filter and the cameras own lens hood. The camera comes with all of its original accessories: Remote control, Mains adaptor / charger, Standard NP-F570 Lithium-Ion Battery, Dummy Battery with power supply, Mono Microphone Sony ECM-NV1. The reason for this is that for some reason I could not get the footage from the Camera to my Macbook Pro.   As I needed to record and edit my footage using Final Cut Pro as part of my degree in Communications and Creative Media I purchased the Sony GV-HD700 High Definition Video Walkman  It captured the footage beautifully using this means. Amazing Camcorder - only been used for about 40 hours of filming and was bought in .  in perfect working condition. A couple of things are slightly faulty but nothing that affects filming. These are: the spring has gone for the veiwing screen - still opens and closes fine. Adn the rubber attachment for the mike is broken (as shown in picture) so there are marks from using tape too attach. There is also no foam on the mike.
