A used product although you wouldn't say that looking at the condition. It's been tested with a DV tape which it accepted first time. Played back fine forwards and rewinds without a problem. This unit comes with cables that haven't even been used they include phonos and USB cable a power supply is also included which looks like it barely been used and there is a lithium iron battery with the units as well that I have tested and charges. The screen looks to be in very good condition with a good picture and there are no visible markings to the keypad on the unit implying that it hasn't really been used at all by the previous owner. This is not the European version and literature indicates that while it will work fine on digital, analogue will not work with uk PAL
