For sale is a Sony DSR-PD170 Video Camera. This camera takes MiniDV tapes. I have used this camera 2 or 3 times since getting it from an auction 6 months ago. The camera was ex BBC so has been looked after. It comes with a mains adaptor and one battery (which I bought online). To my knowledge the camera is in full working order.   Sony DSR DSR-250P Professional Camcorder

SONY DSR250p DV Cam This camera has SONY’s 3CCD image capture system coupled with their 12x lens gives a great picture even in poor light conditions. Fitted with fold out LCD screen that displays the camera index and a very good live picture image, this is great when filming low down as you can swivel it up and back. Have used this camera on location all over the country and has been great as its fairly light and very easy to use. Also comes with the IDX Enduring High Performance light this has 3 LED elements and plugs into the camera so no extra weight of a battery, this light has a    brilliant (no pun intended) feature that makes the light come on when you press record without having to do anything. It has two filters and the brilliance can be adjusted via the knob at the rear. The camera is in good condition it does however have a damaged handle cover at the back this does not affect in any way the working of the camera. Comes with one SONY BP-L60A battery. Please note: NO BATTERY CHARGER sold with this kit. The SONY 250p was designed for news gathering and in particular reporters using it them self's so it really is point and shoot, compared to my other camera which takes an age to set up! The 250p takes two sizes of tape Mini DV and standard cassettes (see picture but not included) and has the self loading feature were you place the tape in the slot press ‘load’ and it slots itself in and shuts   the door all by its self. This camera does not have the memory stick as in above discription. The manual is available as a free download on the SONY site also you can down load all the specifications so want bore you with all that here, also online are some very good You Tube videos on using this camera that are far better than any paper effort.
