, plate 7, One Penny (1d.) Black stamp lettered HB (Stanley Gibbons code SG2), Given the location of the postmark over the word 'ONE', it is not easy to see the Stage 1 'O' flaw that is found in the majority of stamps from letters GG to IL printed by this plate. However, the stamp was authenticated as being from this plate by Mr Peter Lister of the Expert Committee, Royal Philatelic Society Limited on 25th October, . A copy of this authentication email will be made available upon request. From the set of stamps printed between (plate numbers 1a-11), this type A1, imperforate, die I, alphabet I, small crown watermarked example was printed using plate 7 which was registered on (at which date it is known that the stamps from this plate were already in use), put to press on and destroyed on .
