This heavy, solid elm farmhouse style table was purchased by me in the late 's & has been in my home ever since! Made by a local craftsman from Somerset elm it is hand signed underneath. The matching four ladder back chairs are also solid elm & from the same maker. The legs are dowelled & the top fixed with wooden brackets. Deep rich honey colour - pictures are a good representation. Shabby chic farmhouse style solid pine dining table & chairs

This solid pine farmhouse style table and four chairs has been painted in Annie Sloan's old white chalk paint and then distressed to give it the popular shabby chic look. The finish has been protected with clear wax. The table top and the chair seats have been stripped and sanded back to reveal the beautiful natural wood grain. This has then been enhanced in places and then a white wax wax applied over it to give it a bleached look. The table panels have been decoupaged with a white wood effect print to finish the look. The ladder back chairs are heavy and sturdy and the table legs remove for ease of transportation. Although this set comes with 4 chairs it could comfortably seat 6. This has a previous life so has picked up the odd knock along the way however this does not detract from the beauty of the piece in fact it only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel.
