Beautiful solid pine table and 4 chairs when closed it's 120cm diameter when the extention is added to the middle its 120 x 160cm will easily seat 6-8. The extention is not housed in the table but has to be stored separate. The base has been painted in eggshell white. This is not a new table so there are knocks and blemishes on the top but nothing major. The table top is extremely thick and chunky 45cm. The chairs have been sanded then hand painted in eggshell white and recovered. I also have 4 fiddle back chairs. All has been hand painted so may show signs of this. This has then been enhanced in places and then a white wax wax applied over it to give it a bleached look. The table panels have been decoupaged with a white wood effect print to finish the look. The chairs have are a high ladder back and the set comes with two carvers. The seat pads have been recovered in a luxurious chenille material in a stony grey colour that compliments the neutral palette perfectly. The table top is unusual in design as it tapers slightly at each end and I've tried to pick this up in the photo's. It also separates from the base making it easier for transportation. This set has had a previous life and been imported from Australia so has picked up the odd knock along the way. However this only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. Solid pine dining table, approx. 145cm x 85cm (around 57" x 33.5"). Top of table was sanded and legs painted in Annie Sloan 'old ochre' chalk paint, which is a beautiful pale cream/beige colour. Table top could do with another sand down now as there are a few marks. Table legs can be removed for easier transportation. Four solid pine chairs, with varnished pine seats and painted white backs and legs. Paint is chipped in places. This was a shabby chic project that I never had time to finish off. However, the table and chairs are very solid and functional and in good condition. Just needs a spruce up. Collection only from Eggbuckland, Plymouth, PL6. £70 ONO.
