This is a wonderful compact space saving solid pine kitchen dining table. The table top sits upon a center pedestal and will seat up to four diners. I have put with this table Two solid wood chairs that have wonderful turned legs and farmhouse spindle backs with a beautiful carved detailing to the back top.These chairs are quite weighty and very sturdy good quality chairs. Firstly after all pre preparation I have sanded the top of the table to remove all of the old varnish and to show of the glorious rustic patination within the pine wood, I have then sealed this with three coats of a diamond hard clear Matt varnish so those spillages will just wipe away. The Table pedestal and chairs I have hand-painted in the specialist furniture chalk paint Annie Sloan in my favorite shade of Paris Grey, slightly distressed to keep the true ethos of shabby chic and then also sealed to protect.The pedestal is sealed with a diamond hard clear Matt varnish and the chairs I have sealed with clear wax apart from the seats which have had three coats of diamond hard clear Matt varnish. Very good quality and heavy. I started 'doing it up' and the chairs have all been painstakingly painted white using Annie Sloan chalk paint and waxed. I then fell pregnant and have had no time to finish the job so table is unpainted. The table is no longer needed. Perfect for an upcycling job!
