Beautifully handcrafted solid burr oak shelving unit, made by a Lanarkshire-based craftsman in the the late 's. The shelves are made from hand-planed 5cm deep burr oak boards, and the struts are made from turned oak. There are no nails or screws in the shelves. This really is a stunning piece of furniture and would grace any room. Can be used for displaying books or collectables and has been used to place TV's and computer equipment on too. Stunning Solid Burr Oak Shelving Unit

These shelves were hand made by a Lanarkshire craftsman in . They are made from beautifully detailed solid pieces of burr oak, with turned oak supporting struts. The unit is-free standing and very solidly constructed with no nails/screws etc. The close-up photograph shows the detail of the burr oak and the joinery technique used to hold the struts in place. Each shelf is approximately 80cm long X 50cm deep and just under 5cm thick. The shelves get very slightly larger from the top shelf to the lowest shelf, and the unit is mounted on oak feet.
