Industrial table / workbench with mechanism
This workbench was used in agriculture, during the time when people still mowed grass by hand. The mechanism that is installed on the tableis used to sharpen a scythe. The producer is Franz Krösbacher from Fulpmes, Tirol. This table can be useful in many ways all around the house: as an industrial table in the hallway with a nice mirror above it, in the living room as a side table or for example – with a thick wooden chopping board on it – in the kitchen as a chopping board or extra work/storage space. You could even attach a nice, robust lamp to the mechanism. The wooden handle of the mechanism has gained a few termite holes over the years, but as far as I know, these are no longer active. One of the legt has an extra dent. The photos are part of the description. The metal of the work table has a beautiful 'rusty' appearance. The surface could potentially be treated with a (transparent) varnish with rust converter or an antique/furniture wax.Measurements:Tabletop:55 x 50 cm.Bottom legs: 70 x 78 cm.Table top height: 73 cm.Height including mechanism: cm.The weight of the workbench is approx. 28 kg.
