Great starter flock for first time sheep owners! Small flock of Soay sheep.Easy care as they shed their fleece so don't require shearing. Economical to keep and excellent sheep to clear scrub land.This flock consists of: 3 x Pure breed soay ewes (mixed age 1-4 years) 1 x unrelated soay ram They are friendly and perfect for first time sheep owners on a small acreage. These sheep are very low maintenance requiring no shearing, have strong feet and need little worming. The ewes are often twin lambers that have never required any help during lambing. These are the easiest sheep breed we have ever kept, they are wonderful to watch and interact with and they are real characters. All bucket trained and handled regularly. Our sheep are pure breed but not registered. There are a mix of colours to choose from and some hornless ewes available if preferred. More ewes and rams available to increase the flock if required, additional ewes £55 and rams £45. It is possible to come and see the flock, looking for good homes only. We have a small flock of Soay sheep for sale consisting of 4 ewes of 4 yrs of age(some produce twin lambs) and an unrelated 4 yr old ram plus 2 ewe lambs from this season. Soays shed their fleece so do not need shearing although this year we did shear to tidy them up and they now look very smart.They have good teeth and feet and have been regularly wormed.
