Circa early 20th century Art Nouveau wardrobe in good condit

Circa early 20th century Art Nouveau wardrobe in good condition. Not as soft as pine, but pine in appearance, so not sure about timber used. It's in good condition with age related wear and a small amount of paint on the side, which comes off easily. Original Art Nouveau handles and carved detail to front. 6 Hooks inside which I suspect are original. There is a pine dowelling rail, which is recent. There are two nails from the outside which hold it in place. Draw to the bottom, and the top plinth can be removed. Measures 188cm high x 85.5cm wide x 36cm deep. cm high with plinth removed. It's not a large wardrobe so we used it in our hall for 10 year for hat, coat and shoe storage. We haven't found a place for it in our new house so that is why it is here. Thanks Read More

Small Edwardian/Early 20th Century Bureau

This is not just another boring brown piece of furniture as some have said. This is a small Edwardian/early 20th Century bureau. It is made of solidmahogany and solid oak. There are no veneer panels so you won't get any lifting or splitting. It is completely sound and has never had any worm. It has 3 drawers which all have original filigree handles which are brass. Inside there are 5 stationery compartments with 2 small drawers which each have a small bun shaped handle also in brass. There is a leather inlay inside the lid for handwritten correspondence. The hinge arms and other hinges are also brass. The top slope rests on two very sturdy arms which come out when the top is lowered. The drawers have hand cut dove tails and each of them have dust excluders inside. There are brass locks on the top of each drawer but sadly no key. The legs are either Queen Anne or cabriole. This bureau is small enough to go into a home office and can comfortably accommodate a lap top. It has had a few knocks over the years but nothing that can't be restored with some TLC. It was given to my Grandparents as a wedding gift when they married in . It has been in my family for 4 generations. I have no space for it in my house and no one else in the family wants it. Small Double Wooden Bed Frame (early/mid 20th Century?)

If you like retro / vintage this 'three-quarter' size bed is quite stunning. I need to let this go to make more house room. Never did get round to this 'project' for my spare room - which I am now turning into a study. Two wooden bed ends (to and bottom) as pictures show. and the side sections and metal ends all included. A rare Bradbury of Oldham UK, Art Nouveau sewing machine base and reclaimed wooden top. Much lovelier than the ubiquitous Singer bases and in the classic fluid Art Nouveau style with a gothic style flywheel. The base has been carefully prepared and spray painted in rust protective paint. The top has been sanded and oiled to show the grain and avoid splinters without taking away from the character gained from years of use for the wood. French violin. Early 20th century.

Really nice violin. Was restored around 10 years ago by top Scottish violin maker. Professionally set up and restrung recently with Dominant strings. Has usual scratches and marks typical for an instrument of this vintage but other than than is in great condition. Plays and sounds very nice.
