REW 6: 4: 2 ANALOGUE MIXER Ideal for 4 Track Recording & 2 Track Mastering
This versatile mixer came from the precursor to Turnkey Soho Soundhouse on Charing Cross Road, which was called REW. It was their own in-house brand and was designed specifically to enable permanent connection to and from a 4 track recorder and stereo monitoring amp. It uses a clever 6 input channel system, 4 of which are provided with a switching facility from one or other of their two separate inputs, enabling dual potential for mic/line input or track monitoring, all without having to plug or unplug input jacks. Furthermore, there is simple 4 to 2 channel stereo mixing for final mastering. It has 4 VU meters linked to the 4 output channels. All 6 input channels have EQ bass and treble pots, βcueβ and βauxβ send pots with pan pots that can be assigned to channels 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 through simple push-switches. This was bought in the mid βs and gave very good service in conjunction with my Teac 4 Track Reel to Reel. Pots and sliders could benefit from application of Servisol or similar switch contact cleaner, but generally everything is in working order. It has a sturdy metal casing and chassis which is in very good, clean condition as are all the mixer controls. It comes with a 30 Volt power supply, connected via a DIN socket on the rear panel Ideally, for collection only, though could deliver locally in north London. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
