Details about Barbour Liddlesdale jacket, black, size 12,
Horse riding ladies, this is a Barbour Liddlesdale jacket like you have never seen before. It has been customised with a nipped in waist to make it suitable and smart looking for horse riding purposes. Like those lovely dressage gilets, this is a flattering fitted look. The Liddlesdale has been a classic for many years and for a good reason. However, it's boxy cut never looked too ladylike and when in the saddle it bagged up in the back like a balloon. However, this one is different. It combines the quality and performance of the classic but with an elasticated waist which creates the ladylike shape we need both in and out of the saddle! You still have the generous cut in the arms to give freedom of movement and the elastic round the waist stretches with any movement. It gives the rider's back a great shape when in the saddle and the waist is accentuated in just the right way. It is made of thinly padded nylon for those cooler days and it features a small zipped security pocket inside for your valuables or mobile. The front fastens with the famously bombproof Barbour poppers. The measurements are as follows: Armpit to armpit: 54 cm (21 inches) Unstretched waist across: 49 cm (19 inches) Hips across: 55 cm (21.5 inches) Sleeve from armpit to wrist: 43 cm (17 inches) Sleeve widest point across: 20 cm (8 inches) Back of neck to bottom of hem: 77 cm (30 inches) The Liddlesdale is not waterproof, but it will take a good shower or two before you start to think it's getting too wet. It is also supremely lightweight yet warm so it is easy to move around when riding or grooming. It has been riding in all weathers, done dressage and cross country jumping as well, and I think it is a supremely comfortable riding jacket. The corduroy collar is slightly faded as shown in the pictures, but having owned several Barbours I can tell you they all do this in a surprisingly short time. The jacket shows general signs of wear and there is a pinhole above the second popper from the bottom (pictured). The stitching has disappeared from the pocket that has the Barbour embroidery (also pictured). These things are hardly noticeable in my opinion but I have set this jacket a low starting price to reflect this. A new ladies Liddlesdale retails for £ at Country Attire. I am only selling this because I have lost weight. Now you can get yourself a bargain and take it to new riding adventures whilst looking very shapely and ladylike!
