Ciborium made during the 19th century by one of the members of the Favier family, goldsmiths from Lyon. The foot, the stem and the lid are made of gilt metal (probably copper), the cup is made of silver and vermeil. The decorations on the foot and the lid are identical: an ear of wheat, a reed, and a bunch of grapes. The ovoid node has friezes of canals and twisted canals. The lid is topped with a radiant cross filled with acanthus leaves. Minerva’s head hallmark Hallmark of master goldsmith: the letters FF separated by a sun in a horizontal rhombus; the mark in engraved on the cup.
