Sexualität in Leni Riefenstahls "Triumph des Willens": Es war vielleicht eher die Ambivalenz des Werkes als die Unschuldbeteuerung der unbeirrbaren Regisseurin, die Leni Riefenstahls NS-Propagandafilm 'Triumph des Willens' (Dokumentarfilm D ) vor der völligen Vernichtung durch die kritische Nachkriegsrezeption gerettet hat - kein Triumph des wie auch immer gestalteten Willens also, sondern ein Triumph der raffinierten Form über den kontroversen Inhalt. International und noch Jahrzehnte später wurde die Bedeutung der Fortschrittlichkeit der Kamera- und Regietechniken und künstlerischen Genialität des Filmes über den Reichsparteitag der NSDAP in Nürnberg für die Filmgeschichte hervorgehoben (vgl. Oberwinter ). Gleichzeitig wurden wiederholt Stimmen laut, die der Regisseurin vorwarfen, sich den Nationalsozialisten nur allzu leicht dienlich gemacht zu haben. Dieser Umstand überrascht kaum, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Regisseurin und Adolph Hitler schon vor dem Wahlsieg der NSDAP auf Riefenstahls Initiative hin persönlichen Kontakt pflegten (vgl. Wichmann). Wesentlich ist: Riefenstahl lieferte Bildmaterial, das dem Nationalsozialismus nicht nur schmeichelte, sondern die monumentalen Phantasien der NS-Parteiführung gegenüber der internationalen Öffentlichkeit machtvoller und zeitloser kommunizieren sollte als es die Nationalsozialisten selbst durch ihre Politik vermochten. Die vorliegende Arbeit wird sich nicht auf diese moralische Problematik fokussieren. Dennoch ist sie eine passende Einleitung für einen Text, der die fruchtbare Synthese des scheinbar Unpolitischen mit dem Politischen nachzuvollziehen versucht. Benjamin () sah die Quelle der verführerischen Kraft des Filmes seinerzeit in einer Ästhetisierung der Politik. Im Folgenden wird untersucht, ob Riefenstahl neben der Ästhetik auf ein weiteres die Sinnlichkeit des Filmerlebnisses steigerndes Mittel zurückgegriffen hat: die Erotik, deren Reizen sich der Mensch als sexuelles Wesen schwerer entziehen kann, da sie an seinen Trieb appellieren. 'Es' (vgl. Freud ) rührt eben aus den unwiderstehlichen und teilweise unverständlichen Tiefen der menschlichen Psyche, in deren Sog der Mensch durchaus die Orientierung verlieren kann. Dabei kann es sich auch um die politische Orientierung handeln.

German WW2 Afrika Corps 6x30 binoculars. Sand colour

This is a pair of German WW2 Afrika Corps 6x30 binoculars that we believe were brought back by my father in law in the s. He is no longer around and they came to light while we were sorting stuff out for a house move. There is a pair on another web site from which we 'guessed' a reasonable price and also from that listing it states that they are Voigtländer eyepieces with wrench drive slots and these are the same. The leather strap and rubber eyepiece cover do look original but there are scuff marks on the front and chassis as they have onlt been stored and not restored. Also included are a pair of Lieberman & Gortz 20x45 glasses but we don't know how old they are. Any questions? I can send recorded delivery. Read More
