Ship's wheel from Thames sailing barge, stunning and unusual item

Stunning ships wheel, believed to be from an old Thames sailing barge. It has been in our family for more than 40 years so we are very sad to see it go. Down sizing is meaning we have to part with it. This is not a replica. The ships centre is found by one of the handles being bronze, the rest are wooden. In the night or horrendous weather, ships centre could be felt by the cold metal handle amongst the wooden ones. One of the wooden handles is broken, but still attached, not surprising after years on the water! We are pricing this as £750 but will consider sensible offers. Thank you. Great Bear is a classic sailing barge that has large accommodation space, wheelhouse and afterdeck. She is also fully equipped for sailing therefore can be used for cruising the Canals of Europe or sailing the esuaries of the UK. Alternatively this could be a good barge for living aboard with penty of space and heating. You do not have to retain the sailing rig if you do not wish to sail. Great Bear has it's own mooring in Greenland, Greenwich, with easy access to the coast and the North Sea if required. There is a large Lister JP4 Diesel engine in full running order that will produce a good turn of speed if required and with low fuel consumption. Great Bear was fully refurbished in .
