Mary, Hampshire/ West Sussex border in Chichester

Mary, a lovely natured solid 15hh cob type mare. A very sensible 6 years old. Mary is currently used in Willowbrook Riding Centre for lessons and hacks. She is happy to go first, last or alone. Is good in heavy traffic and open spaces. She is a nice willing ride happy to go but still snaffle mouthed. Mary is a lovely horse to have on the yard, she is happy living in or out, is used to being in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings. Not at all mareish.

Gerry, Hampshire/ West Sussex border in Chichester

Gerry, Gorgeous chunky 15.1hh 6 year old cob gelding. He is currently used in Willowbrook riding centre for lessons and hacking. Gerry is a fun, comfortable horse to ride, happy to go but also has good brakes. He is happy hacking alone and in company. He enjoys his jumping. He is an easy horse to look after, he likes fuss and attention,he is good to catch, shoe load e.t.c. He is happy living in or out and is currently in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings. Bailey, Smart looking, weight carrying 16hh bay gelding. 11 years old. He is currently used in Willowbrook Riding Centre for lessons and hacking. An enjoyable ride, snaffle mouthed and safe feeling but happy to go forward, not going to tire your legs out. He is happy to be in or out with nice stable manners. Bluebell, pretty 15hh 6 year old mare. Currently used in Willowbrook riding Centre for hacking. Hacks alone and in company, front or last. She is good in heavy traffic and open spaces. An enjoyable comfortable ride, not a ploddy kick along but still snaffle mouthed with good brakes. Happy to live in or out, used to being in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings. Was driven with previous owners where apparently she was very quiet but we have not tried this as we don't have a cart. Marlene, 15hh 9 year old chunky cob mare. We bought Marlene about a year ago to work on the riding school, and while she is a lovely mare to handle and be around she does need a confident rider as if the rider gets tense it rubs off on her, the more relaxed you are the more relaxed she is. She hacks alone and in company, but is far better when her routes are varied so she doesn't start anticipating the canters. She is a lovely comfortable armchair ride. She is in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings, not at all a dominant mare. She is happy to live in or out. Shes not at all mareish. She is good in the heaviest of traffic and open spaces. She hacks alone or in company. Snaffle mouthed with easy breaks, but at the same time happy to trot and canter. Rocky, Hampshire/ West Sussex border in Chichester

Rocky, 15.1hh, 8 year old piebald gelding. Currently used in Willowbrook riding centre for lessons and hacking. Happily hacks alone or in company, first or last. He is just as happy to be plodding round the village with a complete beginer on as he is to go for a longer hack over the southdowns with some good canters. He is happy in the heaviest of traffic, past farm animals, with bikes whizzing past or yappy dogs. He is the same if you ride him every day or leave him in the field for a week. Snaffle mouthed. 14.1hh black/Dark brown cob gelding. 7 years old. Currently used in Willowbrook riding centre for a variety of ages and abilities, out hacking and in the school. A nice size, small enough that children can ride him and not feel they are perched on top, but still with enough stockiness to carry small adults and teenagers. Brandy, Happy hacker, Hampshire/West Sussex border in

Brandy is a lovely laid-back, 14hh, 7 years old chunky mare. Brandy is currently used in Willowbrook Riding Centre for hacking with various clients. She can be ridden by a variety of ages and abilities and is small enough that the children feel confident on her yet chunky enough for small adults too. She is happy hacking alone and in company. Snaffle mouthed, A steady sensible ride. Happy to just plod round the village, or go for a canter on the downs. Shes never going to win any speed races but happy to give you a nice canter. Can live in or out, used to being in a large mixed herd of mares and geldings.

Johny, Friendly Happy hacker. Hampshire/ West Sussex border.

Johny, A really lovely Dales type 13.3hh gelding. 10 years old. He is currently used in Willowbrook riding centre for hacking. He takes absolutely anyone out on our rides, from the smallest children on the leadrein, to small adults that have never sat on a horse before for a plod around the village but is equally happy going out for a couple of hours over the downs for a nice canter. He is always a safe steady ride, he is never going to win any races. Snaffle mouthed and we always ride him on a loose rein (You can drop the reins completely and he doesn't change). He is happy in heavy traffic and past farm animals. He is happiest following as you do need lots of leg to go in front, but behind he keeps up. He is a lovely pony to look after, very easy, anyone can lead him and fuss with him. You can ride him every day, or leave him in the field for weeks, he still rides the same. He is chilled in the stable or in the field. Happy living in or out, good with mares and geldings. He loves a groom and is good to bath, load, shoe e.t.c. We are having trouble with videos at the moment, but when the computer is sorted will add a video.
