Victorian Shabby Chic Chalk Painted Chiffonier

This pretty antique chiffonier is finished in soft grey chalk paints that have been applied using the dry brushing method (it is a little lighter than the photos show). This produces a subtle colour blended effect. It has then been waxed and lightly distressed. There is lots of lovely detailing on this piece including the barley twist decoration and decorative top pieces which have been picked out in soft creamy white. It has a single drawer with a two door cupboard below. This is a small stylish piece that does not demand acres of space. Ideal for a dining room or kitchen. It has had a chunky reclaimed plank top fitted. The legs and aprons (framework under the top) and drawer are mainly original dark finish. It's a beautiful colour as it looks black in some light, deep dark brown wood in others and almost has hints of aubergine in other light. It would fit in with any eclectic decor. A new strip has been added above the drawer but the rest appears to be original finish.
