restored and reloved bureau! hand painted and distressed in a shabby chic style, using a blue/turquoise chalk paint and waxed for protection, this piece was restored sympathetically, however the original organiser inside was unsalvageable so was replaced with a new organiser, new drawer bottoms were installed also. a gorgeous vintage piece! It should be noted that at the back of one of the front feet a small part is missing, however this is not at all noticeable until you look round the back (as you can see in the photos) and restoration of this would have compromised the rest of the foot. Refurbished shabby chic bureau / desk

A stunningly stylish bureau that has been lovingly refurbished using Annie Sloan products. This bureau has been painted with Annie Sloan's 'Country Grey' on the outside, with 'Duck Egg' and 'Aubusson' blue on the inside. Gold wax has been used to stencil 'Curiosities' on the leather pad. The piece has been lightly distressed and waxed first with clear wax and then with dark wax to 'age' the bureau. At the widest points it measures; Width: 83cm Height: 102cm Depth: 47cm All my furniture is unique. A lot of creativity and time goes into the final pieces you can see. These are pre-loved pieces of furniture and as such may have some knocks and marks on them, showing their history. I believe this adds to the distinctive character of each piece. Please note that this bureau has sections of laminate and is not solid wood. This is a beautiful bureau which will look great in a office, dining room, sitting room, hallway or bedroom wanting to create an elegant country feel. Vintage Shabby Chic Bureau / Writing Desk

Beautiful Vintage Writing Bureau The inspiration behind this restoration was simply a sheet of wrapping paper, with beautiful birds in vivid, eye catching colours. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old White and Paris Grey colours and waxed it to protect it. The drop leaf panel and little shelves inside the bureau were inlaid with maroon faux leather to add colour. The drawer fronts were inlaid with the bird paper and protected with clear adhesive.
