This solid pine farmhouse style table and four chairs has been painted in Annie Sloan's old white chalk paint and then distressed to give it the popular shabby chic look. The finish has been protected with clear wax. The table top and the chair seats have been stripped and sanded back to reveal the beautiful natural wood grain. This has then been enhanced in places and then a white wax wax applied over it to give it a bleached look. The table panels have been decoupaged with a white wood effect print to finish the look. The ladder back chairs are heavy and sturdy and the table legs remove for ease of transportation. Although this set comes with 4 chairs it could comfortably seat 6. This has a previous life so has picked up the odd knock along the way however this does not detract from the beauty of the piece in fact it only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. This solid pine farmhouse style dining table and chairs has been painted in Annie Sloan's country grey chalk paint. The finish has been distressed slightly to give it the popular shabby chic look. The table top has been stripped and sanded to reveal the beautiful natural wood grain. This has been protected with a flat matte varnish as has the paint on the chairs and table base. The chairs have are a high ladder back and the set comes with two carvers. The seat pads have been recovered in a luxurious chenille material in a stony grey colour that compliments the neutral palette perfectly. The table top is unusual in design as it tapers slightly at each end and I've tried to pick this up in the photo's. It also separates from the base making it easier for transportation. This set has had a previous life and been imported from Australia so has picked up the odd knock along the way. However this only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. The chairs and the main body of the table have been finished in Annie Sloan "Old Ochre" (which is a creamy "off White") The paintwork was then very lightly distressed to add to its style and character.
