Due to down sizing I'm reluctantly selling this very beautiful shabby chic vintage dining suite. All hand painted with french chalk paint and finished with wax. There are 6 matching chairs including 2 x carvers which are all upholstered in lovely French pale blue/grey fabric. This has hardly been used hence my reason for down sizing. This is a totally unique set as it has been very carefully painted with 4 coats of Craig & Rose "ADAM" which is a luxurious creamy colour.The table and all chairs have then been finished with 3 coats of Polyvines flat matt varnish for a durable waxed look finish. This includes the sanded back pine table top which then also had a layer of Vintro Wax applied to the top and sanded AGAIN for a ultra smooth,tough finish!! This solid pine farmhouse style table and six chairs has been painted in a soft grey chalk paint and then distressed to give it the popular shabby chic look. The finish has been protected with clear wax. The table top and the chair seats have been stripped and sanded back to reveal the beautiful natural wood grain. This has then been enhanced in places and then wax applied over it for protection. The table panels have been decoupaged with a grey wood effect print to finish the look which has been protected with several coats of hard wearing varnish. The ladder back studded chairs are sturdy and the table legs remove for ease of transportation. Although this set comes with 6 chairs it could comfortably seat 8. This has a previous life so has picked up the odd knock along the way however this does not detract from the beauty of the piece in fact it only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. This solid pine farmhouse style dining table and chairs has been painted in Annie Sloan's country grey chalk paint. The finish has been distressed slightly to give it the popular shabby chic look. The table top has been stripped and sanded to reveal the beautiful natural wood grain. This has been protected with a flat matte varnish as has the paint on the chairs and table base. The chairs have are a high ladder back and the set comes with two carvers. The seat pads have been recovered in a luxurious chenille material in a stony grey colour that compliments the neutral palette perfectly. The table top is unusual in design as it tapers slightly at each end and I've tried to pick this up in the photo's. It also separates from the base making it easier for transportation. This set has had a previous life and been imported from Australia so has picked up the odd knock along the way. However this only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel.
