The base of the table is a column base that has then been waxed with a clear wax to protect the finish and for durability. The table top has been decoupaged with a leaf print this has been protected with a flat matte varnish. It has six solid chairs which have been recovered in a popular black crush velvet to complement the table. This is a unique table, a real talking point. This set has had a previous life and has picked up the odd knock along the way however this does not affect it in any way in fact it only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. This solid pine farmhouse style dining table and chairs has been painted in Annie Sloan's country grey chalk paint. The finish has been distressed slightly to give it the popular shabby chic look. The table top has been stripped and sanded to reveal the beautiful natural wood grain. This has been protected with a flat matte varnish as has the paint on the chairs and table base. The chairs have are a high ladder back and the set comes with two carvers. The seat pads have been recovered in a luxurious chenille material in a stony grey colour that compliments the neutral palette perfectly. The table top is unusual in design as it tapers slightly at each end and I've tried to pick this up in the photo's. It also separates from the base making it easier for transportation. This set has had a previous life and been imported from Australia so has picked up the odd knock along the way. However this only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. Here is a gorgeous, Professionally upcycled solid Pine Farmhouse Dining table / Kitchen table and 6 chairs. The chairs and the main body of the table have been finished in Annie Sloan "Old Ochre" (which is a creamy "off White") The paintwork was then very lightly distressed to add to its style and character.
