4/4 'Cello Bow made by K.Glyszczynski. Silver mounts on a Pernambuco stick, good condition with a very recent rehair. No cracks, chips or fractures to the tip (non metal). The stick has no warping or other damage. This is a relatively light bow it with an excellent response to fine articulation without lacking in strength to produce a satisfying power of tone. This has been my 2nd bow for several years but I do not use it as much as I should, hence the sale. It would be perfect for an intermediate/student cellist (grade 7+). No identification papers except the stamp on the stick (see photos) Given by my 2nd cello teacher from Leeds approx 16 years ago with a value of £775. I bought it in December from Bonhams Fine Musical Instrument Auctions, Knightsbridge, London (no longer trading in Musical Instruments). It was valued in January for £ by Amati Musical Instrument Auctioneers. It is in good condition. It has a few scratches and scrapes, the most significant being a crack on the lower bout, which was looked at by a professional luthier. Her opinion was that it was a stable crack, and was not in danger of affecting the tone, or likely to case weakness in any way. It is fitted with metal strings, I haven't changed them since purchase, so I don't know which brand. I am selling because I bought this as my 2nd instrument, but I haven't really needed a 2nd instrument for a few years now, so it hasn't been played much.
