This is a great camera if you are perhaps stepping up from the point and shoot level and you are looking for a little more options on how to take photographs. You can easily add more lenses - say macro, fixed or telescopic and you can make changes to your shutter speed allowing you to do sports or say long exposures to capture the night sky. DSLR cameras have very few moving parts. The two largest (and most important) moving parts are the main reflex mirror (the mirror that allows you to look through the lens from the viewfinder and that swings up and out of the way when you take the photo) and the shutter. Between the two of these devices the mechanical shutter is radically more delicate and prone to failure over the life of the camera. This camera has never been used and so the shutter count is 0. If you are new to the world of DSLR Cameras, then think of it like checking the millimetre on a car. Even if you don’t buy my camera, please take this knowledge on board when you browse cameras in the future. Certain brands can tell you how how many shots they have taken within the camera menu, others you can upload a test image online and the information is embedded in the image. It shoots 18 megapixels, has a crop sensor and has a built in pop up flash and will also shoot HD movies in P, but there are so many more technical specifications online. What you are buying.
