Vintage British Seagull Featherweight Outboard Engine in

Selling as spares or repair as it did run but carburetor needs adjustments & fuel tank & lines need cleaning. Does turnover & produces a good spark. I'm no outboard mechanic but could be an easy fix for the experienced. These are collectable engines as they are small & lightweight & produce 1.5 to 2hp ideal for small dinghies. Cosmetically not immaculate but has a lot of character. Sold as seen in pics. Cash on collection & don't waste my time please !!

A Selway Fisher design outboard motor canoe built in , constructed using the stitch and tape method. Coated inside and out with epoxy resin and the exterior overpainted with exterior paint. It will carry up to 3 adults and has been car roof topped and sailed on the Kennet and Avon canal. It can be fitted with detachable wheels so that a single person can "wheelbarrow" it using the paddle handles to the launch site. Two wooden paddles are included. Seagull outboard it has Recoil starting so there is no need to keep wrapping the cord around the Flywheel everytime you want to start the engine,,there is a new spark plug and cap,it has a Long Range Plastic fuel tank with a new fuel tap,it has a Clutch,i dont know the exact hp but i would imagine it is 3 - 4hp,fresh oil in the Gearbox,it has a problem with the throttle it seems to be stuck about 1/2 throttle this could be just a carb adjustment or a new cable the asking price reflects this minor issue but it starts and run lovelly and pumps loads of water it has been converted to run on 25:1 petrol mix can be seen running.Seagulls go on for ever unlike some of the newer outboards.
