12hh 17 year old bay schoolmaster seeks child sharer capable of riding off lead in three paces & jumping. Ideal for a child wanting to progress beyond riding school but unable to have their own pony. Not to move yards. Snaffle mouth, doesn't buck rear or bolt, never kicked or bitten and a darling to handle, occasionally cheeky to catch but always bribed with a carrot! Loves hacking and jumping, competes locally and loves it, done xc training safely & sensibly, fab pony club allrounder. Will have the odd nap to the gate if he thinks he can get away with it (ex school pony-chances his arm but never in an unseating way) no beginners/lead reins please he is a tubby type who needs someone to give him a decent workout to manage his waistline! Current sharer outgrowing him before our eyes hence searching for a new friend for him, sharer will be welcome to go to shows, pony club etc and owner willing to provide transport. Contribution towards his upkeep & help with stable chores required (he lives out most of the time so mostly grooming, field checks/poo picking & hay nets only the odd actual muck out required if weathers really horrific or before shows) flexible days £10 a day or 3 for £25/4 for £30, instructor visits most weekends and lessons are included in share price or own instructor also welcome. Needs an experienced rider as likes to take off in an open field! Perfect on roads, alone or with others. Absolutely 99% in every way apart from likes a gallop!!!!!! Good with farrier, dentist, heavy traffic. I don't ride him enough....therefore when he's out he wants to gallop off and come home. Ideally would like experienced older person (not girl racer) who wants a happy hacker. He is fab to take out on a summers day and will walk through the heaviest traffic but needs to do it regularly and I don't have time. I don't want someone who will get on him and gallop through fields and then expect him NOT too next time he's out. If you want to share him I will expect you to have some lessons with my parklands instructor for a few months first to check we all happy! If we are we can share him?! Part share: 15.2 gelding 10 years old to share. To stay at current field in Denham near Eye. Genuine, kind and very loving, Toby is a lovely safe and gentle hack. He has done low level competition but is not a competition horse. Would suit someone who would like to go for a few hacks a week and maybe the odd trip to Topthorn for a bit of 70cm showjumping. He is a real gem and a personality. He lives with our other horse who gets out more to competitions and does more work so Toby needs a bit more action. He's fine to go out on is own and although forward going is snaffle mouthed and easy and enjoyable to ride. He is not spooky and is fine in traffic. There is plenty of off road/minor road hacking around. He is available all week and every other weekend to ride. Riding out with the other horse may be possible if timings suit. Toby is happy to just get out and needs someone of about 12 stone or under to brighten up his week as my time is limited. If you would like to come and see him, please give me a call. My name is Gabby, I am 19, 5ft and weigh 6.5 stone. I am studying in Falmouth and am looking to share/exercise some ponies or small horses. I have grown up with 5 ponies all my life and am missing my mare back at home. I am very flexible on times and days. Been riding for as long as I can remember, never competed, just ride for fun. I worked in USA for the last two summers looking after 21 horses and teaching girls ages 5-17 to horse ride. For the last few months I've been working my mum's young mare, who became nervous after a car accident. I built up her muscle with daily long-reigning and finally managed to get on her back again.
