Hi, These are Scarpa Denali II ski touring boots. Size 8 1/2. Excellent condition. If you don't know the difference, these are classed as touring boots because they have a vibram sole (like a hiking boot) so need to be used with a touring binding - or anything with a moving plate under the toe of the boot - although they do physically clip into standard downhill bindings. Great condition - some cosmetic scratches/scuffs but soles look as new and all buckles fully functional. Would be perfect for someone wanting to get into ski touring / backcountry / ski mountaineering. Or indeed, work okay as a downhill boot with a compatible binding. The grey tongues are stiffeners if you want a stiffer boot downhill. Check out the reviews of Scarpa II boots online - they are no longer cutting edge but are a solid, reliable boot that do the business. Light and very comfortable boot & only worn about a dozen times so in very good condition - the sole is immaculate as can be seen from the pictures. These boots cost me £265. No problem with heel lifting, in fact I think this boot has a extremely comfortable rocker. I use it for long alpine climbing, with Grivel 2F crampons, and for the approach to the mountain.
