SANSUI SR222 MK V / MK5 TURNTABLE WITH HEAD SHELL CARTRIDGE AND ORTOFON STYLUS FITTED READY TO PLUG IN AND PLAY- STUNNING CONDITION!!! One owner from new (in very early 80s) and in excellent condition. This is a great example of elegant, minimalist design finished in hi-gloss piano black with polished black aluminium platter and tonearm. The body is unmarked and looks absolutely stunning. Please note however that the clear acrylic lid does have some slight age related scuff marks (which may polish out). Though it is widely suggested that this classic turntable looks most stunning and at its very best with the lid removed and left off permanently. The turntable is in perfect working order, the platter turns smoothly and the tonearm moves exactly as it should with no play. Like most of the best turntables it is extremely simple with very little to interfere with the purity of the sound. There is a power button, a button to switch between 33 and 45 rpm and a tonearm lift lever. The tonearm can be easily removed with one screw to enable easier changing of the cartridge. It has a solid plinth with suspension in the feet to provide additional damping. Everything is in 100% working condition, so don't let this little gem slip away. Any questions welcome.
