The Samyang 50 mm T1.5 AS UMC video lens gives 46.2 degrees field of view, and thanks to high brightness value of T1.5 (f/1.4) it comes as a great tool in poor lighting conditions. This manual focus lens ensures exceptionally smooth and aesthetic mapping for out of focus areas beyond the focal plain, producing a smooth, natural bokeh effect. This feature will be appreciated by professional filmmakers and photographers taking portrait photos. Has never let me down, performs as new and for the range of cameras it came from it was definitely the best of its time and still competes with many newer DSLR's from today. The 50mm f1.8 Nikon lense is an absolute must as an accompanying lense, the depth of field achieved while using it is amazing, and for portraits i wouldn't use anything else. It also comes with a battery grip which attaches to the bottom (as can be seen in an image), this makes it great for taking portrait images with a separate shutter release button and exposure dial on it.
