PORTLAND COURSE PLOTTER KIT The Portland Plotter is one of the most popular chart work instruments and is widely used by RYA practical and shore based instructors.  It provides a quick method of plotting courses and bearings and gives a direct reading of corrections for magnetic variation.  This new version has been developed in consultation with the RYA and has been engineered for both strength and fine accuracy. Instruction by James Stevens, RYA National Coach, are included.  James has been responsible for the standards of the RYA Recognised SEa Schools and instructor training since .  Until recently he compiled the RYA shore based assessment papers and in was awarded the Royal Cruising Club's medal for services to cruising.
