Ercol Studio Couch / Day Bed. Iconic piece of furniture. However, this example was cut down by a previous owner to fit a particular space. Appears to have been done to good standard.Very strong as it is all held together by lengthy pieces of very strong angle iron. One arm also had some rot in it. I have let in a new piece of beech and there is some filler. Backrest is a beautiful bit of elm. Much work done (covers are almost new as is the strapping). Some sanding to strip off remaining old dark varnish but overall a good strong affordable alternative to an untouched studio couch. More photos available.
