This is a Royale coach built dolls pram probably from the 's. I bought to restore for my granddaughters but their mothers do not want it and so it has been in the garage for five years. The chassis needs a lick of paint and there is a tear at the top right edge of the padded edge at the front, the hood has some exposed edges where the metal frame touches - I was going to cover with small leather patches and the pram cover has a split that could be patched or used as a pattern for a new one. Depending on the finish you want it is either quite quick or a lifetime's work. Prefer collection but probably could courier for £15 in pieces (Uk mainland and not all of Scotland) as it has been stored in pieces. A Matching Pair Of Victorian Waterer & Sons Mahogany Gentleman's Armchairs For Light Restoration.

NOW REDUCED IN PRICE FOR A QUICK SALE, A VERY NICE MATCHING PAIR OF LATE VICTORIAN, WATERER AND SONS OF CHERTSEY, GENTLEMAN'S MAHOGANY LIBRARY OR ARMCHAIRS WITH SOUND FRAMES. THEY OBVIOUSLY NEED SOME RESTORATION WORK AS THE UPHOLSTERY WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETELY RENEWED BUT I BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT AND RELATIVELY EASY WINTER PROJECT FOR SOMEONE. Here we have a matching pair of Victorian solid mahogany framed gentleman's library or armchairs. They were made by the respected firm of Waterer and Sons of Chertsey in around and each frame has the maker's name stamped on the underside. They have been in dry storage for almost 50 years and the upholstery is obviously in a very scruffy condition. However, they would make a very nice project for anyone who is into antique furniture restoration and are now up for sale at just £130. Actually I would say that anyone who enjoys furniture restoration as a hobby will find these relatively simple to tackle and I have listed all the relevant points as I see them below. The chairs were originally covered in burgundy button-backed leather. This has been removed and discarded from one and partly removed from the second. They could of course be recovered in either leather or cloth. Most of the original horse-hair stuffing and lining material is still present, plus the webbing and all springs look very good. The castors are all there but there is some wear to the bores of the brass plates so the chairs sit lower than they should. The ceramic wheels look good. The mahogany frames look very good to me. Obviously they will need some refinishing work but I can't see any damage or sign of worm. The chairs' approx. measurements in inches are 35 high x 36 deep x 24 wide. The seat is about 24 deep x 19 wide and the seat height is around 15 at the front and 13 at the rear. Please email me if you would like to view the chairs.
