These ceramics take the name of Sumida Gawa in reference to the river of the same name located in the district of Asakusa. The particular style of these ceramics, brightly coloured and decorated in relief, was developed around by the potter Inoue Ryosai I, a founding member of a dynasty that exported the majority of its production mainly to the United States.Click here to visit Catawiki Read More
