I can provide any size beam or shelf you require. Choose your Colour Oak has its own natural colours and tones that are enhanced by the clear Danish Oil. Some are naturally light, others dark. I hand pick your oak beam in accordance with your colour preference and then finish with either a wood stain, Danish Oil or beeswax alone. All beams are sealed with wax for lustrious protective finish. Choose your Style Choose your style. The Oak can be 'worked' which means I can shape it lightly. Choose from the menu options: Modern - with smooth edges for a contemporary look. Shaped - with a few carved waney edges for a more traditional look Rustic - carved waney edges for an aged, rustic, country style. Similarly I can choose oak with your preferred 'features' i.e. cracks, grain, knots. Planed, Sanded and finished with Danish Oil/Wax/Stain. Each beam comes complete with concealed floating shelf brackets fitted into your beam making it easy for you to place onto your wall. Prices for 5ft Mantels start from Solid Oak shelves, Doorstops and Coat racks available. Please Note: Oak is a natural product each piece may be different in appearance and marginally in colour. They almost certainly will contain surface cracks, knots, pin holes and slightly uneven edges. This adds to the natural beauty and character of Oak. Although air dried occasionally the oak can develop slight further movement, marginal splits and cracks as it acclimatizes to your properties temperature. All of the above statements will not be treated as defects. If being placed above a stove, multi fuel log burner please seek advice from stove manufacturer or stove fitter for correct placement to adhere to the safe distances for combustible materials.
