It's with a heavy heart that I'm having to rehome my German shepherd x rottweiler doggy. His name is Rocco he will be 2 on 19th April. We have had him from 9 weeks old. He would be best suited being rehomed with a male who has a lot of time on his hands as he needs alot of exercise. His behaviour is absolutely amazing when my husband is home but he seems to think that he's the boss of me and demands attention from me. He has amazing manners, whilst his dinner is being prepared he will sit and wait and won't eat it until he gives you his paw, Even if you go out the room. He will need training as he tends to nip when he wants attention (unless your my husband). He is very food led and I've found that he pays more attention with his training if hes rewarded with treats so finding a trainer that works this way would be best. We are only rehoming as we have fell far behind on rent so me and my husband are out constantly at work and I feel he deserves more, I feel like we have let him down and he deserves more. It's unfair of us to keep him just because we love him so much and don't want to lose him when he isn't getting the attention and exercise he needs and deserves. This is a very hard decision for us so he won't be going to just any home, It's essential that his new home is with somebody that has experience in training large dogs or are willing to put him in training classes. When he was 12 weeks old he was playing with my sister's very giddy dog and he's accidently hurt Rocco and made him yelp so now he tends to have days where sometimes he can walk past a dog and not be phased by them he will just sniff them then carry on walking but other days he will bark at them. He's met lots of other animals off the lead, horses, cows cats and was great with them. This is our beautiful puppy, we bought her as a family pet so our little girl could grow up with her, however juggling a baby and puppy isn't giving either of them the attention they deserve. The training she needs to become the amazing pet we can see she will be is proving near impossible and not fair on her. She is a German shepherd, rottweiler cross with some Akita too and would make the perfect companion for a family with older children. We did view mum and dad when we got her and both were gorgeous lovely dogs.
