Diameter: 24 mmMaximinus II was the cousin of Galerius, who named him Caesar of the Eastern Empire in 305 A.D. When Galerius died, he named Licinius Augustus, much to the anger of Maximinus. Moreover, Licinius later defeated the secret allies of Maximinus: Maximianus and Maxentius. Maximinus understood he was next and went to war, but he was eventually defeated in de battle at Tarsus.
