So many people are enjoying photography and making videos that Rollocam decided to make a really small but powerful way to get great dolly and panorama shots for video and photography. Use with a smartphone or small digital camera. The Hercules itself is 100 mm x 125 mm x 50 mm. Control is super simple with just one button and lights enabling you to select between all the settings. Sadly I’ve not had the opportunity to use it more than once or twice due to now needing to use much larger cameras and heavy lenses. It is powered by ONE AAA battery, enabling about 1 hour at high speed or up to 48 hours of time-lapse. The drive unit can be set to operate in either direction (left or right) and in three different modes. Continuous move - roll in both directions at 5 different speeds Time lapse - indexes (move, stop, move) at 5 index distances and 5 time settings Stop motion - use a magnet to command to move one step at a time The drive wheel can be swapped out between a small drive wheel and a large drive wheel to increase the speed range if needed. All drive units are equipped with an integrated magnet sensor that will trigger direction change automatically when used with the magnets. In the stop motion setting, the Hercules will advance a preset distance every time a magnet is in close proximity to the sensor. In this mode, the user commands the Hercules to index whenever he chooses. Programmable settings: (when using small wheel set) Continuous speed =. inch/sec. ( mm/sec.) Index increment (time lapse) =. in (.mm) Cycle time (time lapse) = sec. For large wheel set, the speed and index increment is approximately double. The original Filofax brand! I only bought this a couple of days ago, was £31 from Paperchase. Unfortunately, like many of my impulsive purchases, it turned out to not be quit eright for me! I have taken out the diary pages as I have written on them, but I will leave the pictured info / notes pages in there. This is their 'pocket' size version. 14.5cm x 12.5 (including the clasp on the side). It's a lovely thing, with a padded soft (ish) texture to it. Not leather but feels good quality.
