Has built in mics, jack inputs, xlr inputs and plug-in mic inputs It can also record 6 channels simultaneously, which I used for a choir recording outdoors. Very good mic amps and limiters for a great location recorder - very readable even in bright sunlight display - this comes with my evolution UC33 midi controller (fader controller) and petrol bag which cost £200. The UC33 connects via r88 USB and is all ready set up to control the R88, it also gets power from the USB so very neat for drama mixing, also included is a mains PSU for the R88. The last four photos are stock ones, a real bargain, this recorder is £ new at pink noise. I have only used this for 2 TV series "All About The Mckenzies" about 10 commercials and three short films. Its very easy to use on set and the sound quality is as good as my 633. One of the great things is 8 mic amps on XLRS and 8 XLR outputs.
