In fact, the concept is far from new as the ProEdge largely replicates the tool sharpening system which has evolved in the Robert Sorby factory over many, many years. Vintage Bow Saw made by Robert Sorby of Sheffield

This fine old saw is stamped Sorby Sheffield and is complete and original except for the rope/string that is wrapped around the paddle to tension the saw, which obviously can be replaced. This has been lightly cleaned with a damp cloth but other than that it has been left as it was for the purchaser to renovate more fully or leave it in it's original condition.
