Paul Rivera made a name for himself modding amps and in my opinion his own brand is a far better amp - loads more tonal options and bulletproof reliability. See Rivera website for spec Two channel, each channel with foot switchable boost (the effects loop has a send and return level and can be used as a boost too! It's also channel assignable, 1,2 or both). The clean channel has a pull bright on the the treble and a pull notch on the mid for blackface tones. Also has a presence and focus control. Great reverb too. Low gain (better for cleans) and high gain (better for more overdrive) inputs. Also has a half power switch. Rivera Clubster 45 two channel 45w all valve 1x12 combo amp. Handmade in California by Paul Rivera, highly regarded amp designer for many amp manufacturers including fender. Comes with two button footswitch for channel changing and reverb on/off. Celestion Seventy w 12" speaker, and fitted with fresh valves. EL34`s in the power amp and 12AX7`s in the pre-amp. A Fender Twin reverb II, the circuitry developed from its original form by Paul Rivera, and as far as I'm awar the last of the US made hand wired amps (no PCB's). In nice cosmetic order, save for the odd knick in the Tolex and the grill cloth having discoloured somewhat, the amp is fully functional, with the clean channel doing everything that its meant to, rendering crisp and shimmering cleans. The Lead channel is aptly named because its not a distortion channel, there isn't a massive amount of gain available, (although I understand that there are numerous mod's that can be done to get more of it, if that's your thing, personally I really wouldn't bother). This one has had a full set (Pre and Power) of JJ valves and the pots and jacks cleaned, and sounds just as it should, the reverb is fully functional, although it gets a bit clangy over 5 or 6, but is nice below that level. With the exception of the valves everything is all original, as far as I can tell. Ad ID:
