OK this is from the 60's and case has a few scuffs. Input sockets are modified from the original jack plugs, see pics. Works fine and it is the solid state version, see the pics for plate and the heads are not overly worn.. I might get time to clean the dust off as it has been sitting in a bedroom for a few years, but has not suffered any ill effects. Read more

Watkins Rapier 33 vintage electric guitar

This is a genuine Watkins Rapier 33 electric guitar featuring the hi-lo tremolo. It was purchased in (probably from Crane`s Music, but not certain) by my oldest friend and has been owned by him since new. It was his first electric guitar and was used in our first band together in the Sixties. His playing career was cut short by chronic illness after only 4 years but he kept the guitar until his death last year when it came to me. Since around , it has been kept cased in a cupboard at his home, only rarely being played. About the guitar itself: I`m not a guitarist myself so I don`t know a great deal about it except that it has a feature called "hi-lo tremolo"...3 pickups and a whammy bar. It is in original condition and has not been modified. Cosmetically it has a few bumps and scrapes: some minor belt buckle damage to the rear of the body and a scrape to one of the horns(painted over) and similar to the bottom edge of the body (see photo).....nothing that couldn`t be restored fairly easily. Soundwise: my grandson (a real guitar player, unlike me) has played it through a Blackstar valve amp and says it has a great blues tone with a thicker and punchier tone than his Fender......he reckons that the intonation and action is still good. It also comes in it`s original case (looks like a hardcase but I think it`s some sort of fibreboard) + a rather ancient lead and strap I`m selling it because: I`m a drummer and I`m sure my old friend would approve of the drum stuff I`m going to buy with the proceeds. This is an original example of a now quite rare electric guitar made in England at the height of the British beat boom....... Note: I`ve only posted 3 pics (that`s all the add will let me) but I`ve got more, particularly close ups of the damaged areas which I can email to interested parties....I will seriously consider all offers....Thanks for taking the time to look... WEM Dominator Mk III Valve Guitar Amp

Priced to sell !! If you're looking at this ad, you know what you're looking I've had the amp 20 years, and in that time I used it maybe 5 times in the first few weeks, & since then it's been sat in a wardrobe !! WEM Westminster Valve Guitar Amplifier Combo 70s OPEN TO OFFERS

Welcome to my ad for a WEM Westminster Valve amplifier. This is in full working order but does have a couple of cosmetic issues. Unfortunately as seen in one of the images there is damage to the rear panel but it has been repaired from the back and also a slight nick in the tolex which can also be seen in the images. It is in original condition and i believe i am the second owner of it from new. It would benefit from a service as it still contains the original Mullard valves but is fully functional as is. Watkins Rapier 33 Vintage Guitar. Serial number on this guitar is , All original parts apart from the Tremolo Arm which is a Watkins replica replacement. The guitar in good condition considering its 53 years old. All of the electrics are working. It does have a few marks on the body but that gives the guitar it character.
