Ruffly 250 hours working, between a shift and another one. I'm Alessia and i'm from Sicily. Graduated to the "Accademia Belle Arti" of Palermo, I've restored this Secretaire/Desk, with a vintage french provincial design and colors. It's a unique piece Nothing has been replaced excepts for the worn leather wich now is new. All locks are working excepts for the last drawer. Restored vintage flat-topped oak school desk

Restored vintage flat-topped oak school desk, probably ’s, in very good condition. Having been carefully stripped back, both inside and out, then lightly sanded and waxed it's been returned to it's original golden oak finish whilst retaining it's patina and character. Being flat-topped (as opposed to the more common angled top) it can be used in a variety of guises - lamp/plant table, hallway address book table, kitchen recipe book table, reading desk, child's homework desk, or simply as an attractive vintage cupboard/storage. Antique desk by Cooke's (Finsbury) Ltd (see picture) - exact date not known but believed to be from s/30s (a date and name has been sketched under table?).   Carefully restored to a very high standard in deep blue Annie Sloan paint with original mahogany drawers (re-varnished) and faux leather top in rich brown. Secretaire desk/glass fronted shelves above, drawers below keys to locks

177cms high overall. The glass-fronted shelving unit is detachable and could be used separately from the desk lower unit(height of glass-fronted unit 77cms) The width of the item is 81cms. The maximum depth of the unit is 50cms. The depth of the top half is 25cms. The desk part of the item is missing a panel at the back. The drawers are complete and slide in and out freely. The desk lid drops down to provide a useful writing surface. This piece of furniture was used by recently deceased mother- in-law for over 50 years and was in her mother's house previously.
