American rocking chair. May be beachwood? Letter from Eric Knowles valuing it at between £ in , this was following a photograph and letter sent to him as in photo section. Wooden base is solid but has been treated for woodworm and the cane needs re wickering as damaged as in photograph. This has been a family heirloom so I know it is a genuine antique.
