She had been living on the streets and surviving on hand outs, she had no comfort and was living in constant danger of being killed or taken by the dog catchers. SOS Podenco Rescue: QUELA for adoption

QUELA - Fostered in Glasgow Quela is a 5 year old Podenco X Galgo, weighing approx. 15kg and is 54cm to the shoulder. She has been in a permanent home with 1 cat for a year but due to behavioural issues is now living in a foster home. Quela is a very loving dog, she loves cuddles and walks beautifully on the lead and loves running off lead. Her recall is fantastic. However, she has resource guarding issues and will snap and snarl if her food/bed/toys are challenged by any other dog or human. She is currently in foster with 4 other dogs (3 male, 1 female). She gets on great with the males but not so much with the female. Her behaviour has made some improvement over the last few weeks but she needs a forever home without children with someone who has the time, patience and experience to help her overcome her issues. She has great potential to be a very loving and loyal dog but this would be best achieved in a cat-free home with less dogs where she can be given dedicated training time. When she came to her current foster she was very picky with her food but she is now eating every morsel.
