Used, so some minor marks but overall condition is very good. Mahogany veneer is in good order as is the leather top. No rips or tears, but signs of general use. There are 3 drawers to the top, the right hand pedestal has 3 sThe mall drawers, and the left has 1 small drawer & 1 large drawer with file suspension hangers included. The three units separate for ease of transport and slot back together. The top left drawer has some staining inside from correction fluid which I have not tried to remove but is easily hidden once the drawer is used. A large Regency style reproduction mahogany veneered kneehole desk with red tooled leather writing surface and moulded edge, resting on a platform base. The desk has a total of eight drawers, three across the frieze, three in the left pedestal and two in the right, the lower one being a double size file drawer which takes standard Foolscap files. The drawers are fitted with swan-neck handles. The top three drawers are fitted with working locks and comes complete with key. This auction is for a complete home / office set of furniture, which includes a superb knee hole Desk, a Chesterfield Captain’s chair & a two drawer filing cabinet, with green leather inlays. All have been restored to their former glory. The desk has 2 pedestals the right hand one has 3 drawers, the left hand one has 2 drawers (one being a file draw), the main body has 3 drawers across the front. As you can see the desk has wonderful graining to the body & drawers fronts etc, it is strong construction. With classic swan neck handles fitted to the drawers. The writing surface is topped with a lovely classic leather inlay with a gilt tooled pattern running around the edge with only slight wear giving it character. With a great antique style to it in Regency /Georgian manner, it has no wobbles with just wear commensurate with age as it develops its antique character. The Chesterfield chair is very comfortable, no rips or tears it swivels & reclines a really beautiful set. Like the desk the 2 drawer filling cabinet also has a lovely classic leather inlay with a gilt tooled pattern running around the edge the wear giving it character. As you can see all three items complement each other, a complete office set in a wonderful condition. This auction is for a complete home / office set of furniture, which includes a superb knee hole Desk, and Chesterfield Captains chair, in matching Chesterfield green leather, both have been restored to their former glory. The desk has two pedestals both with three drawers in each pedestal, with three drawers running across the front. As you can see the desk has wonderful graining to the body & drawers fronts etc, it is strong construction. With classic swan neck handles fitted to the drawers. The writing surface is topped with a lovely classic leather skiver / inlay with a gilt tooled pattern running around the edge with slight wear which I believe gives it character. With a great antique style to it in Regency /Georgian manner, it has no wobbles with just wear commensurate with age as it develops its antique character. Measurements, width 48”, height 30” & depth 24” The chair is a lovely traditional Chesterfield captain’s / desk chair, which sits on a central 5 armed base, which revolves smoothly. It swivels & reclines beautifully, with mahogany effect base it has a metal core which allows the height to be adjusted, with small metal castors. It is really comfortable & in beautiful condition, with no rips or holes to the leather a timeless piece. Measurements, 33” high (19” high to seat) when raised at mid point, 20” seat width between the arms, 17 seat depth. As you can see both items complement each other, a complete office set in a wonderful condition. I treated all the furniture to a sympathetic clean, the wood has been polished with an antique grade Colron beeswax, the leather has been treated with Elephant wax.
