This is a rare and fabulous antique pictorial Persian Kashan rug, made by master weaver Mohtasham Kashani circa .Measuring 90x63cm (2.9’x2’), it shows a picture of ex- Persian Monarch Ahmad Shah Qajar () who was one of the last descendants and the ruler of Qajar dynasty.The weaver brought about the quality of the craftsmanship at its best by the decorating scene with the poem inscriptions in engraved field. The weft and wrap of the foundation made of silk and Kurk wool (lamb wool) in high-quality order.As expected, this rug had been used as a hanging wall décor and therefore remained in excellent condition.
