Reg. Sec B Gelding 13.2h 15yo

We have owned Barkway Sandstorm ('Charlie') for the last nine years. He is a registered section B Welsh palomino. He is from excellent Welsh bloodlines including Orielton Aristocrat and Rotherwood State Occasion and has striking looks. My daughter has ridden him as a lead rein, first and second pony since the age of nine but is leaving for university in September. I would like to find someone else to enjoy him as she did, as he loves being in work. I would describe him as a second pony as he can sometimes be spooky or forward hacking although he is quiet when schooling. My daughter is not a competitive rider but in earlier years she did compete with Charlie at small gymkhanas, cross pole jumping classes and walk and trot tests. They have been on several fun rides. Mainly he has been used for hacking on the country lanes and common near our home where he hacks alone or in company and is never nappy. He has also attended indoor pony club rallies. He has a good jump up to 2ft 3 but can be spooky with any fillers or strange jump wings. He goes barefoot and is good with the farrier. He has never been clipped. Fine to load. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth and worming. He has had laminitis but not for the last five years, so management of his grazing will keep him clear of this. He lives out all year round except for a few hours a day spent in a stable in the daytime. Charlie is very sweet to look after. He loves being groomed and always says hello in the morning. He is up to date with everything, fantastic with the farrier and loves to be hosed down and have a bath. He is fantastic to hack out alone or in company first last or in the middle in the heaviest of traffic. He is hacked out every weekend by my 8yr old daughter on the roads and over our local common. He likes jumping and you only have to show him the jump and he will take himself over it. My daughter leads him in from the field and stands and grooms him for ages and she picks all 4 feet out.
