A classic s bureau with drawers, desk flap and bookcase top. There are three drawers for paperwork and the desk flap has pretty little pigeon holes for all your bits and pieces. The doors were originally glazed but one was cracked and so the previous owner replaced them with chicken wire sprayed with cream acrylic paint. The bureau has been painted all over with Old White chalk paint and then painted with a coat of a lovely Smokey grey blue called Paris Grey, leaving the desk and cupboard in Old White The drawers still have their original Art Deck style metal handles and the insides are also painted in Paris Grey. Refurbished shabby chic bureau / desk

A stunningly stylish bureau that has been lovingly refurbished using Annie Sloan products. This bureau has been painted with Annie Sloan's 'Country Grey' on the outside, with 'Duck Egg' and 'Aubusson' blue on the inside. Gold wax has been used to stencil 'Curiosities' on the leather pad. The piece has been lightly distressed and waxed first with clear wax and then with dark wax to 'age' the bureau. At the widest points it measures; Width: 83cm Height: 102cm Depth: 47cm All my furniture is unique. A lot of creativity and time goes into the final pieces you can see. These are pre-loved pieces of furniture and as such may have some knocks and marks on them, showing their history. I believe this adds to the distinctive character of each piece. Please note that this bureau has sections of laminate and is not solid wood. This is a newly refurbished vintage writing bureau with storage space. This bureau has been painted in the specialist furniture Annie Sloan chalk paint in a beautiful shade of grey. I have kept the original hardware but given them an updated look in silver which matches the lining French themed paper in the bureau, drawers and the display area. This is a solid, but very pretty vintage china display cabinet, bureau and drawers with Queen Anne legs. It has been refurbished in white chalk paint and wax with a shabby chic distressed finish. I have kept the original hardware but given them an updated look in silver, this matches the French themed lining paper in the bureau, drawers and the display area. It would look great in either a kitchen diner, a sitting room, a bedroom or a hallway. It is important to know that the shabby chic style incorporates antique and vintage furniture that has been upcylced. I work very hard to ensure that my items are in the best condition possible, however, as they are antique or older items they may have scratches, nicks, wood splits and dents. This all adds to the character of the item, and I feel it makes it truly beautiful. The item will not be in factory new condition. Some chairs and tables may wobble a little, draws and doors may not shut fully or may shut little too far or possibly stick slightly, but again, this is all adding to the character and beauty of owning something that has so much history.
