This fabulous antique hoof Inkwell made by Roland Ward of Piccadilly, London. The hoof belonged to my Great Uncle who was an officers batman during the British rule in India. The horse "Coqette" was the officers favourite polo pony and when it died the hoof was sent to Roland Ward in London to be made into this inkwell. The condition is superb, the brass work Is a little faded on the lid through cleaning, but the hoof itself has no nail marks and the shoe is stamped with the makers name and address.
