Rare Vintage Paragon Smiling June Tea Set

Fabulous and rare 80 year old tea set with many pieces that you would not usually find. It is pale green with gilt exteriors and is embossed with a white floral patter and has a pale green interior and floral basket pattern with all pieces having a scalloped gilt edge. This comprises; 2 serving plates, milk jug, sugar bowl, 12 saucers, 12 side plates and 8 cups in total. It is in amazing condition for a tea set of this age, it is almost in mint condition with the exception of a chipped tea cup (see photo with chips in 2 places on the base) and tannin staining on 1 plate. Apart from the that the gilt is still largely visible, no hairline cracks or other defects other than very light / almost non existent use. The tea cups measure 9.5cms across the opening and 6cms high. The saucers measure 13cms across. Side plates just over 17cms across. Serving plates are 25cms across widest point and 22.5 at the narrowest point. Milk jug is 14cms across from outermost part of handle to spout and nearly 9cms at its heighest point. The colours are very vibrant considering their age with a beautiful slightly scalloped edge around the top and the cups are incredibly light when you pick them up. There is almost no sign of the gilding being worn. They are in great condition and look as though they have barely had any use.
